2008 Photo Gallery Fortress Louisbourg Grand Reenactment Weekend
Staged on the 250th Anniversary of the Final Siege of Louisbourg in 1758, the King's Orange Rangers would not have existed yet. The first members of the King's Orange Rangers arrived in Nova Scotia during the American Revolution; therefore members of the King's Orange Rangers attend events from this period as members of Cobb's Rangers. Cobb's company was raised throughout New England and Nova Scotia and was under the direction of Silvanus Cobb one of the first settlers of Liverpool who was later present at the siege of Québec. To learn more about Cobb go the peer reviewed historical Dictionary of Canadian Biography online edition using the link.
Note: You must use the small arrows on the left and right of the film strip to move to the next set of five photos.
