In
the summer of 2008 Shelburne celebrated the landing of the loyalists with a
grand re-enactment weekend and hosted a number of re-enacting groups including
their close comrades the King's Orange Rangers (Captain Howard's company) of
Liverpool, Nova Scotia. On an annual basis the group attends Founders
Days, but this year was particularly special as the Prince of Wales group from
Shelburne and area played host to the provinces designated Brigade of the
American Revolution re-enactment for the year.
The photo here shows the King's Orange Rangers marching to town to check to make sure American Privateers have not followed the loyalists to the settlement at Shelburne.
