King’s Orange Rangers Prepares for
2009
Liverpool Township was founded in 1759,
celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2009. The
King’s Orange Rangers is planning to hold a Grand Time Line
Encampment in Liverpool from July 2 to July 6, 2009 to
celebrate this event. The Time Line Encampment will cover
the period from the French Indian War to the Boer War.
Since most groups set their events a year
or two ahead the KOR 250th Committee wanted to
make this information available to groups at this time. A
mailing list will be compiled from those expressing an
interest in attending, regular updates will be sent out and
as the date nears the formal application form and all other
pertinent information will be forwarded.
I would ask each of you to pass this
information along to any other groups you feel might be
interested in attending the 2009 Time Line Encampment.
Sutlers are also welcome to attend this encampment.
Anyone interested in attending this event
can contact the Committee Chair Sgt. Major Charles "Bucky"
Norman either by email at
donna.bucky@ns.sympatico.ca,
by mail at Box 1054 Liverpool, Nova Scotia, B0T 1K0 or
phoning 902-354-3225.
